Rangemore Scout Centre has completed a significant upgrade to its washroom facilities as part of an ongoing programme of investment designed to enhance the visitor experience and ensure the site continues to meet the evolving needs of modern Scouting and group residential stays.
The newly refurbished facilities have been carefully designed with comfort, and inclusivity at the forefront, delivering modern, high-quality amenities that set a new benchmark for campsite facilities in the county.
A key feature of the upgrade is the installation of fully enclosed floor-to-ceiling cubicles, providing considerably greater privacy than traditional campsite washrooms. This modern design offers users a more comfortable and practical experience, particularly during longer residential stays, training weekends and large-scale camps.
In addition, Rangemore Scout Centre has introduced non-gendered toilet facilities, allowing the washrooms to be used flexibly by all guests regardless of group composition. This approach helps maximise the usability of the facilities and provides greater convenience for mixed groups, youth organisations and external hirers using the site for events and activities.
The refurbishment also includes upgraded fixtures and fittings, improved accessibility and a clean, contemporary finish throughout. Together, these improvements reinforce Rangemore’s reputation as one of the leading mid-size Scout campsites in the region, providing visitors with facilities that are both practical and welcoming.

The upgrade has also been warmly received by long-standing supporters of the centre, including former Campsite Bookings Secretary, Pipkin, who has seen the site evolve over many years.
