Welcome to Burton Scouting

Burton Upon Trent is a mixture of town and village Scout Groups serving a very diverse community. What bonds us together is the Scouting we all enjoy and the Adults unite to deliver a package of traditional and progressive activities for the youth membership.

We cater through 11 “Groups” for young people from 6 to 25, as well as 2 Explorer Units for the over 15’s and both a Young Leader Unit and Scout Network at the older age range.

Volunteering opportunities exist through a wide range of options from occasional helper at a Beaver Colony to a support manager working with adults, or a Group or District supporter or fundraiser.

Our pride of place facility is the Campsite at Needwood along with the May Bullock Centre. Members of the Scout District make regular use of the facilities and one of our Scout Troops meet there each week. Users come from all over the UK and abroad to enjoy our excellent facility.

I hope Scouting can continue to flourish and provide remarkably good and unique experiences of adventure, fun, friendship and personal development in this Scout District of Burton Upon Trent. If you are not already Scouting please consider joining us.
